Teaching kids how their immune system works and how it can fight off bugs, empowers them to make to make healthy choices to help keep it strong.

When kids understand how their immune system works and how it can fight off germs, the safer they will feel. I believe that. Kids want to feel and be healthy. Empowering kids help give them confidence, strength to be successful in every aspect of their lives today and tomorrow.

There is a lot of fear circulating the planet right now. A lot of it we need to listen to and respond to however, we are forgetting about our inner soldiers. I tell my family, my friends, my students and my patients this all the time, ” the human body does not want to be sick and when fueled right, we give it the power to take good care of us.”

I want you to shift focus on the power of our bodies, your child’s bodies. Talk about white blood cells and how they are standing strong to protect them. Remind them that they need to be fed with colorful whole foods, lots of water, and smiles & giggles.

Recently, Medium posted the article, Don’t Just Avoid the Virus — Defeat It by Strengthening Your Immunity. I suggest you read it. I primarily use food as a medicine although I do use supplements daily especially to support my immune system from viruses and bacteria. Let me know if you need help getting good quality supplements; I use Fullscript and you can see items I recommend there.

If your kids have questions about viruses here is Human Body Detectives: Battle with the Bugs! It’s an entertaining yet educational way to introduce the immune system to kids. It will encourage them to try new foods, and avoid sugar.
