More than just books.
Good storytelling is a great foundation for learning. That’s why we developed a curriculum to help you continue the health and wellness conversation with kids. Our E-Learning resources are built for kids of all ages in elementary, middle and high school.
Why do we care so much?
- According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 17% of kids and adolescents in the US are obese
- Immediate effects of unhealthy eating patterns include malnutrition and obesity
- The Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics indicates an increased prevalence of chronic diseases among children
- 80% of children do not get the recommended five servings of fruit and vegetables a day
Dismayed at statistics about the epidemic of childhood obesity and increased illnesses among children as a result of malnutrition, Dr. Heather Manley teamed up with a colleague who holds a master’s degree in education from Stanford to create a comprehensive school curriculum and e-learning system based on the books she had published.
They developed a fun, interactive way for students to understand their body functions and the importance of healthy lifestyle choices.
Know your body, period.
